Panning

In photography, the term "panning" refers to a technique where the camera is moved at the same speed and in the same direction as the moving subject during a longer exposure. This results in a sharp main subject while the background appears blurred due to the motion. This technique is often used to convey speed and movement in a photo, for example at sporting events, car races, or wildlife photography.
